A Massage from Soothe has got to be the ultimate indulgence. I’m kinda a work-a-holic and I really feel it taking a toll on my health. My Physical therapist said I should see him weekly and get a deep tissue massage in my neck once a month. I even have a prescription for massage from my neck Doc., but alas i can’t seem to fit in a massage into my scheduled. (what is wrong with me:) The other problem is I’m too darn tired after work to want to go anywhere, except to jump into PJ’s and watch Netflix.
There is a company that is kinda new to Salt Lake City but is in 41 of the largest Cities in the U.S. and Canada. Its called Soothe, the largest and fastest-growing on-demand massage and wellness company. The service brings licensed, vetted, and insured massage therapists to customers’ homes, offices or hotels in as little as one hour. Carolyn Kamii reached out to me to see if I wanted to try out their services. What? a Massage therapist comes to your home to give you a massage? Yup I said I’d give it a try. I was a little nervous about someone coming to my house and setting up shop in my bedroom. If I’m going to take the time to get a massage I want a spa experience, but frankly I think work-a-holics, moms with kids, moms with health problems, ect. Do not get that experience very often because they don’t have the time, money or just can’t get away from the kids. An in home massage at your own convenience is a down right dream come true!
Hiroko, my new BFF made me feel so comfortable, She told me to go get ready while she set up her table in my bedroom. I came back into my room to soft music warm clean sheets and an to just relax and let Hiroko work on my poor overworked back. After an hour of the most dreamy relaxing soothing massage I was done. I put on my robe thanked Hiroko over and over while she folded her bed and left my home. I was so relaxed i grabbed my book and some lemon water and spent an hour reading before I went to bed happy, relaxed and slept like a baby.
I loved scheduling a late evening appointment, so I could just fall into bed. In my dream world I would get a massage every Monday night, and maybe someday I’ll have to resources to do that. In the mean time this was a fabulous much needed treat for my aching neck. Who knows my birthday is around the corner I might just have to buy my self some relaxation for my Birthday!
